Many of you have been asking what this music is that we’re using in our commercial about the sale of Guaranty Bank to Spain. You Texas history buffs should recognize it very quickly, especially those who know about the history of the Alamo.
Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
It’s called El Degüello and you can read the history of it by clicking here.
General Santa Ana played it during the siege of the Alamo to tell them that no quarter would be given. It means literally to “cut the throat”. We are using it to tell the big out-of-state banks that their time for taxpayer-bailouts and mistreatment of Texas citizens is over. We’ve had enough and now it’s time for them to go home and we will give “no quarter” until they’re gone.
If you’ve had enough too, download the music here. We ask you to tell your friends, family and business associates and ask them to spread the word.

It seems as though I was taken back to the battle of the Alamo
